Public Involvement

Public Engagement is a top priority for the I-84 Danbury Project. Public involvement is essential to the planning process and outcomes of this important Project.

People who live and work in greater Danbury know the corridor best and should be directly involved in all decisions that will affect their future travel. Continued public input is crucial to ensure that the Project considers local and regional goals, priorities, and community concerns. Click here to view the Public Engagement Documents.

A wide range of public outreach events and engagement tools will be used:

  • Stakeholder interviews
  • Project Advisory Committee (including people in the community)
  • Live meetings and listening sessions
  • “Pop-Up” events
  • Focus group meetings

  • Traditional media (newspaper articles and radio)
